Bootstrap Anthem

Written By Jake Stilson

I got enough rock & roll out of me

I don’t even want to die young anymore

And if God’s only son died at 33

Tell me what’s the point in even keeping score

Time outside of time tells me

You’ve gotta look forward to

If you’re not laughing with someone

Somebody’s laughing at you

We all burn an inner fire

Of unsustainable desire

We’re all learning our own worth

You and me and the whole earth

I got enough rockin’ soul left in me

I don’t want to cry for no one anymore

But it’s been hard to cry ever since I was a teen

But liquor’s always helped to open up that door

I may never be all the way back from the longer trips i took

But I believe stories are better lived

Than they’re read about in books

We all burn an inner fire

Of unsustainable desire

We’re all learning our own worth

You and me and the whole earth

We all burn an inner fire

Of unsustainable desire

We’re all learning our own worth

You and me and the whole earth

You and me and the whole earth
