It was six o’clock on a Friday

And I was stopping by for one after work

Her and her girlfriends were steppin’ in stride

And one looked like Delta Burke

I saw you later on at the beer tent

Down at the county fair

I flipped a table to make room to dance

And they threw me right out of there

So if you wanna meet me at the next bar over

I’ll be out in the  parking lot tokin’ on a number

When you pulled up beside me at the next bar over

I didn’t know what to expect

But I got a clue when you didn’t touch on your food

And left a 20 dollar bill on the check

Just doing what I can to get by
